Dear friends of Le Moyne College Athetics;

Since 1982, the Gold Wave has been the organization that has worked tirelessly to assist in securing the future of Le  Moyne Athletics. In the Spring of 2011, I, along with members of the Gold Wave executive board, introduced a new name for the organization that will oversee all fund raising and community outreach for the athletic department - The Dolphin Athletic Association.

The DAA, with its new four-committee structure, is designed to keep pace with the evolving needs of our department, student-athletes and enhanced outreach efforts. The DAA will not replace the Gold Wave events that you have all come to know. The Gold Wave Committee will continue to oversee the Gold Wave annual golf outing, Gold Wave senior day recognition ceremonies and the Gold Wave Athletic Hall of Fame. The role of the DAA will be to cast a wider net and offer expanded opportunities in other areas of outreach, such as the annual membership appeal, dedicated and coordinated fund raising for capital projects, creation and support of parent booster clubs, NCAA required booster club education, the development of off-campus events and specific activities designed to support the needs of our student-athletes.
  
As has been the case in the past, and will continue to be the case in the future, the Dolphin   Athletic  Association will thrive due to those dedicated and loyal individuals who volunteer their time and talent to benefit our student-athletes.
