Vanessa Holden is in her first year with the Dolphins as a graduate assistant after graduating from the College this past spring with a degree in Communications. A low-post presence as a four-year starter for the Dolphins, Holden totaled 891 points over 108 games, while earning 91 starts, to rank 16th in the program's history in career scoring.

The team's second-leading scorer as a senior, Holden completed her four-year career with a total of 606 rebounds, the eighth-best total in the program's history, 149 assists and 154 steals. Holden posted career highs in points (338 points, 12.1/gm) and rebounds (204, 7.3/gm) in her senior year as the Dolphins went 15-13 and finished eighth in the Northeast-10. On Feb. 9, Holden was named the NE-10 Player of the Week after averaging 24.5 points, seven rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 2.5 steals in leading the Dolphins to a pair of conference victories. She set a new career high in points with 22 against Pace on Feb. 4 and then tallied 27 points three days later against Southern Connecticut State. In her junior year, she averaged 7.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists as a starter in 23 of 24 games played. Over 28 games her sophomore season, Holden averaged just under six points per game, while recording four rebounds per contest. An immediate starter as a freshman, she averaged 7.4 points and grabbed 5.3 rebounds to finish fourth on the team in scoring and second in rebounding.

A 2005 graduate of Immaculate Heart Academy, the native of Suffern, New York earned All-County Second Team honors as a senior and Honorable Mention as a freshman and junior as well as All-league honors each of her four seasons. Holden helped Immaculate Heart to the Parochial A State Championship as a freshman and the Bergen County Championship on three occasions.
