SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Le Moyne College Athletics is proud to unveil a new Charitable Ticket Program for the upcoming year that provides free admission to all home games for Dolphin fans while providing the unique opportunity to provide a donation with proceeds to benefit local charities.
This unique ticketing program is unlike any in college athletics. Fans will receive admission at no charge to all home events. Each venue will have a display showcasing the local charities that department and teams are supporting. Those in attendance are welcome to donate as they see fit with the proceeds staying right in Central New York with the charity of their choosing.
"This initiative gives us the opportunity to practice what we preach in a very intentional way," said Matt Bassett, Assistant Vice President and Director of Athletics. "Our mission as a Jesuit institution is deeply rooted in the pursuit of social justice and the care and concern for those less fortunate. Using athletics in creative ways to offer support in our own back yard to organizations in our community that are working tirelessly to change lives is an opportunity that resonates deeply with us. This ticketing initiative is an ideal platform for our coaches and student-athletes to raise awareness and funds for the organizations in our surrounding neighborhoods that mean most to them."Both Le Moyne College and the Athletic Department have a long-standing history of supporting local charitable organizations. Each year, student-athletes volunteer thousands of hours in the Central New York community supporting events and raising awareness of organizations in the Jesuit ideals and principles of men and women for others.
This program excludes Northeast-10 Conference and NCAA Championship events. These championship events mandate a ticket pricing structure and admission fees.
