Le Moyne College Teams with The Salvation Army -Celebrating 30 Years of Saving Teens and Ensuring Future Services

SYRACUSE, NY -
On Thursday, July 9, Le Moyne College and the Salvation Army hosted a press conference in the Curtin Special Events Room in the Le Moyne Student Center. At that time, representatives from Le Moyne College, The Salvation Army’s Young Leaders Forum, and other partners announced the creation of a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament to benefit Salvation Army emergency services for young people. This announcement falls on the 30th Anniversary of Booth House. The community event will take place on the campus of Le Moyne College next June.

Booth House is the Syracuse Salvation Army’s shelter and counseling service for runaway and homeless youth, ages 12-17. Booth House provides counseling, respite and crisis services for youth and their families in both residential and non-residential settings. During times of crisis, youth are able to access shelter services and get assistance. Over the past 30 years, more than 9,000 teens and their families have received help at Booth House.
