CANISIUS SILENCES THE DOLPHIN BATS IN SERIES FINALE
3-1.
SYRACUSE, NY – Behind the performance of freshman Shane
Davis, the Canisius Golden Griffins took the last game of a

complete game, allowing one run while scattering five hits. With
the loss, the Dolphins fall to 8-12 on the season. Canisius
improves to 13-2 with the victory.
Canisius got to Le Moyne starter Corey Nelson in the bottom of the
first inning with two runs. Clean-up hitter Kevin Mailloux singled
up the middle to plate the first two runs of the game. Nelson would
fight with his control most of the afternoon, but managed allow
only one more run on a home run to leftfield by Paul Panik through
four-plus innings.
The Dolphins would scratch for run in the bottom of the fourth on a
Sean Paino sacrifice fly to centerfield, pulling Le Moyne within
two runs at 3-1.
Le Moyne would threaten in the bottom of the seventh and eight
innings, but failed to plate the runner from third.
In relief, freshman Jeff Tardiff pitched 4.1 strong innings only
allowing three hits while striking out three Golden Griffs.
Senior Stephen Crawford connected for two hits on the afternoon,
improving his hit streak to 14 games.
Le Moyne returns to action on Tuesday, March 25th as the Dolphins
