ERIC BEAULAC SELECTED BY THE NEW YORK METS IN THE 9TH ROUND
OF THE MLB AMATEUR DRAFT.
SYRACUSE, NY- Junior standout Eric Beaulac (Troy,
NY) was selected by the New York Mets in the 9th round
(284th overall) of the Major League Baseball Draft and becomes the
31st player and 20th pitcher in Le Moyne history to be chosen in
the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft.
Among the nation’s elite strikeout artists, Beaulac set the
single season Dolphin record with 113 strikeouts in leading the
Dolphins to a 33-21 record. Named the 2008 Division I Independent
Pitcher of the Year, Eric led the Le Moyne staff with a 9-2 record
and 2.83 ERA. The highlight of his 2008 campaign came on May 10th
as the hard-throwing right-hander became the fifth player in
program history to toss a no-hitter as he blanked the Rider Broncs
at Dick Rockwell Field. CLICK
