LONGWOOD 11-4
SYRACUSE, NY – The Le Moyne Dolphins completed a four-game

Edmondson (Johnson City, NY / Johnson City). Le Moyne

for the ‘Phins second run.
The Dolphins blew the game open in the fourth inning as
Chris Haynes (Manlius, NY / Fayetteville-Manlius)
and Matt Marra (Brewerton, NY / Central Square)
led off with a single and double, respectively. A walk to junior
Sean Paino (Wappinger Falls, NY / Roy C. Ketcham)
before Botsford doubled home two runs with a drive down the right
field line. Following a walk to Matt Nandin (North
Syracuse, NY / CNS), Edmondson connected for his seventh
home run of the season with a grand slam to center field.
Marra greeted Longwood reliever Matt Gwaltney in the fifth with a
lead-off home run over the left field wall for his fifth
round-tripper of the season, pushing the Dolphin lead to 10-1.
The Lancers scratched for three runs in the top of the seventh
with run-scoring hits from Chris Briere and Brant Jones. An
opposite field home run by Botsford in the eighth inning wrapped up
the day's scoring as the Dolphins cruised to an 11-4 victory.
Freshman reliever Mark Kuzma (Waverly, NY /
Waverly) picked up his first career victory after pitching
2.2 scoreless innings.
