Gold Wave Booster Information

Dear Alumni and Friends of Le Moyne Athletics,

As a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, Le Moyne College is responsible for ensuring that its student-athletes, coaches, faculty and staff, and representatives of athletic interests (more commonly referred to as boosters) abide by NCAA legislation. The NCAA defines a "representative of athletics interests" as any individual who has participated with any organization that promotes Le Moyne's inter-collegiate athletics program, has made financial contributions to the athletics department or Le Moyne's Gold Wave, has assisted in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes to Le Moyne, has provided benefits to enrolled Le Moyne student-athletes, or has had any involvement in promoting Le Moyne's athletics program. Once a person is designated a "representative of athletics interests", they retain that designation indefinitely.

Any question or concerns you may have regarding your interactions with prospective and enrolled student athletes as a representative of athletics interests should be referred to Tim Fenton, Associate Director of Athletics-NCAA Compliance at (315) 445-5478 or Matt Bassett, Director of Athletics at (315) 445-4414. Any non-compliance in this area, either intentional or inadvertent, could result in eligibility sanctions being issued against both the student-athlete and/or the team from the NCAA. Part of the success of Le Moyne's athletics program directly depends on the continued interests, support and cooperation of its representatives of athletic interest.
