GOLD WAVE ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME
Criteria for Selection
The purpose of establishing the Gold Wave Athletic Hall of Fame is to honor those men and women graduates of Le Moyne College who have exhibited a degree of accomplishment and who have distinguished themselves in their field of endeavor after having distinguished themselves in their intercollegiate athletic pursuits while at Le Moyne College.
Selection Criteria:
1. Graduate of Le Moyne College
2. Honoree must have graduated at least TEN years
ago.
3. Participation in, with distinction, at least two
years of varsity athletics.
4. Exhibits an exceptional degree of accomplishment in
his/her character and their alma mater.
5. Selection limitations per year are limited to
maximum of four honorees, as determined by the Gold Wave
Selection Committee.
Selection Criteria for Honorary Inductees:
1. Ineligible under the Selection
Criteria above.
2. A friend of Le Moyne College.
3. A person who has distinguished themselves in their
support of athletics at Le Moyne College.
4. Exhibits an exceptional degree of accomplishment in
professional endeavors and interpersonal relationships which
reflects well on the honorees character and the university
befriended.
5. Selection limitations per year are at the sole
discretion of the Gold Wave Selection Committee.
Selection
Procedure:
1. The Chairman of the Gold Wave shall each year appoint an
ad hoc selection committee to advise the Executive Committee of the
Gold Wave as to nominations for Athletic Hall of Fame honorees.
2. The Selection Committee will prepare a ballot
consisting of the names of the top 10-15 nominees. All
Gold Wave members will be asked to vote for the candidates in
the induction class of 2007.
