LE MOYNE TO ENSHRINE THREE IN GOLD WAVE HALL OF FAME

David McBride '65, Roseann Reynolds Schiller '94 and Adam Stockwell '96  to enter Hall of Fame, Teddy Kiddle to receive Rev. Vincent B. Ryan, S.J. Dolphin Award

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Le Moyne College Gold Wave will enshrine three new members of the Gold Wave Hall of Fame at the on October 19, 2007. David McBride '65, Roseann Reynolds Schiller '94 and Adam Stockwell '96 make up the Class of 2007, while longtime Le Moyne College Athletic Department staff member Teddy Kiddle will receive the Rev. Vincent B. Ryan, S.J. Dolphin Award at the annual Gold Wave Hall of Fame Dinner.

McBride, a 1965 graduate of Le Moyne College, ran Indoor/Outdoor Track and Cross-Country for each of his four years as a Dolphin. A co-captain on both teams, McBride ran the leadoff leg on the only Le Moyne team to win at the Penn Relays in 1965. In 1964, McBride set a school record in the 600 yard indoor at the world-renowned Madison Square Garden. He holds school records in the 440 (:48.0), 60 (1:14.5), 880 (1:54) and participated on record setting relay teams in the mile, two mile, sprint medley and distance medley relay.  McBride is a retired school teacher after 28 years of dedicated service to the Rochester City Schools.  Aside from receiving two National Science Foundation grants and a NEWMAST internship with NASA, McBride coached cross-country and track teams at Bishop Kearney, Penfield, Charlotte and John Marshall high schools.

Reynolds-Schiller, a 1994 graduate of Le Moyne College, was a four-year letter winner in basketball and soccer. Under the direction of former head coach Tom Cooney, Reynolds-Schiller recorded over 1,000 points and currently stands ninth on the all-time scoring list. She also ranks amongst the top ten in program history in field goal percentage, free throw percentage and steals.  Named captain her senior season; Reynolds-Schiller was named team MVP, NE-10 All Region and Academic All-America. On the soccer pitch, Reynolds Schillerled the Dolphins to a 20-8 record in route to being named the Rev. J. J. O'Brien Senior Athlete of the Year.  Following graduation, Reynolds-Schiller joined the Jesuit Volunteer Corp. and taught first grade on the Indian Reservation in Montana.  She serves as a youth soccer and baseball coach as well a member on the PTA at Our Lady of Lourdes School.

Stockwell, a 1996 graduate of Le Moyne College, lettered four seasons under former men's basketball coach Scott Hicks ‘88. Stockwell, a captain of the '96 team, is one of Le Moyne most prolific scorers, currently ranking ninth on the all-time list with 1458 points. In 1996, Stockwell led the Dolphins to the NCAA Tournament and a 24-6 record, tying the Le Moyne record for most wins in a season. After playing professionally in Ireland, Stockwell earned a Masters in Business Administration from Canisius College in 2002. Currently, he is the Head Men's Basketball Coach and Compliance Director at Clarkson University.

"They had distinguished themselves in their athletic and academic careers while at Le Moyne, and they have continued to distinguish themselves in both their personal and professional lives," says Athletic Director Matt Bassett. These individuals clearly define what is very special about intercollegiate athletics at Le Moyne."

The Gold Wave Hall of Fame, dedicated to longtime Athletic Director and men's basketball coach Thomas J. Niland, was established to honor those men and women who have been affiliated with Le Moyne College who have exhibited a degree of accomplishment and have established themselves in their field of endeavor. To be eligible, candidates must be a graduate of Le Moyne College (at least 10 years ago), distinct participation in a minimum two years of varsity athletics and exhibit exceptional accomplishments in professional endeavors and interpersonal relationships which reflect well on the honoree, his/her character and the alma mater. Honorary candidates are those who are ineligible under the selection criteria, but have distinguished themselves as supporters of athletics at Le Moyne College, and exhibit exceptional accomplishments in professional endeavors and interpersonal relationships which reflects well on the honoree's character as well as on the college. The Dolphin Award, given presented in recognition of outstanding loyalty, dedication and service to Le Moyne College Athletics and its student-athletes, has been renamed in honor of Rev. Vincent B. Ryan, S.J.

Tickets for the 2007 Gold Wave Hall of Fame dinner will be on Friday, October 19th on the Le Moyne College campus.
