2008 Le Moyne College Gold Wave Open
Marcellus, NY – Le Moyne College and the
Gold Wave held the 28th Annual Gold Wave Open on Monday, August
11th at the Tuscarora Golf Club in Marcellus, NY. Thirty-eight
foursomes hit the links for a day of golf in support of Le Moyne
College athletics. In the tournament’s history, over a half
million dollars has been generated to support scholarships, enhance
facility and fuel the ever-growing achievements of Le Moyne College
student-athletes.
Following a round of golf, the Jim Kelly of the Gold Wave presented
Le Moyne College and Dr. 
Fred Pestello a check for $25,000 to be directed to the
lacrosse/soccer turf project. Last year, the Gold Wave made an
unprecedented commitment by pledging $125,000 over the next five
years to the construction of the turf project. Monday’s
presentation was the installment of the pledge.
The Gold Wave would like to thank its many partners for their
