GOLF: LE MOYNE'S DAN MCCARTHY WINS THIRD CONSECUTIVE
TOURNAMENT, HAMILTON TAKES TEAM CROWN AT MIKE BELLO
INVITATIONAL
MARCELLUS, N.Y. - Le Moyne junior Dan McCarthy (Syracuse, N.Y./CBA)
won a four-hole playoff over Hamilton's Dan Treichler in the Mike
Bello Invitational hosted by Le Moyne College at The Links at
Sunset Ridge in Marcellus.
McCarthy and Treichler each carded an even-par 72 in the one-round
tournament at the links-style 6,700 yard course. McCarthy won the
season-opening Colgate Fall Invitational over the weekend and
finished tied for medalist honors at the NCAA Division II regional
in the spring.
Hamilton 's top team combined for a score of 303 to nip Oswego
(307) and Le Moyne (308) in the team category.
