LE MOYNE CAPTURES 2007 NCAA Division II Men's Northeast
Region Golf Championship
(WHEELING, W.VA)--- LeMoyne College came from four shots behind
heading
into the final day to overtake Bryant University and claim the 2007
NCAA
Division II Men's Northeast Region Golf Championship at Speidel
Golf
Club. With the victory LeMoyne advances to the NCAA Division II
Men's
Golf Championship at The Meadows in Allendale, MI May 22-25.
The "Dolphins" finished with a Northeast region low round of 310 on
the
final day giving them a three round total of 949 good enough to
edge
both Bryant (951) and Pace University (951) by two shots.
Bentley
College was 4th at 965 followed by Goldey Beacom College at
970.
LeMoyne's Dan McCarthy was the top finishing individual in the
event
after a three round total of 225, finishing two strokes ahead
of
Bentley's Matt Freedman who finished at 227. They were followed
by
Patrick Cibirka of St. Thomas Aquinas (228) and Dominican's (NY)
Brian
Mackey (229).
