VISKOVICH TIES FOR EIGHTH AT 2008 ECAC GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS

Riverhead, N.Y. - Freshman Anthony Viskovich (Massena, N.Y./Massena) shot a two-day score of 152 to lead the Le Moyne College men's golf team to a tie for fourth-place finish at the 2008 ECAC Division II Men's Golf Championships at Long Island National Golf Course in Riverhead, N.Y. Dominican won the team competition with a 36-hole score of 609, while the Chargers' Andrew Lee won the individual title with a birdie on the first playoff hole. Le Moyne, the 2007 champions, finished seven shots behind Dominican at 616.

Viskovich opened the championship with a 75 in the first round and registered a 77 on day two to finish in a tie for eighth place at 152. Freshman Chris Sova (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) carded consecutive rounds of 77 to finish in a tie for 19th at 154. Junior Tim Martins (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) recorded a 155 on rounds of 75 and 80 to finish at 155 and in a tie for 22nd place. Sophomore Andrew Lloyd (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) matched Martins at 155 with rounds 77 and 78. Freshman Kevin Jackson (Chittenango, N.Y./Chittenango) placed in a tie for 58th at 164 (78-86) to round out Le Moyne's competitors.

Le Moyne returns to action on Sunday, Sept. 28 and Monday, Sept. 29 at the Northeast-10 Championships, hosted by American International at Vesper Country Club.
