GOLF: TIM MARTINS LEADS DOLPHINS TO VICTORY AT SO. NEW
HAMPSHIRE.
CANTERBURY, N.H. – Junior Tim Martins (Cortland, NY
/ Cortland) shot a one-under 143 to lead the Dolphins to a
first place finish at the Southern New Hampshire invitational held
at Sunday and Monday at Canterbury Woods Golf Club. Le Moyne posted
a score of 593, three shots clear of second-place Southern New
Hampshire.
NE-10 Player of the Year Kevin Jackson (Chittenango, NY /
Chittenango) placed third overall with a three-over score
of 147. Fellow freshman Chris Sova (Oswego, NY /
Oswego) shot a 151 (+7) to give him a share of sixth
place.
Last year’s NE-10 Freshman of the Year, Andrew Lloyd
(Oswego, NY / Oswego) finished in a tie for 11th overall
with a score of 153. Freshman Anthony Viskovich (Massena,
NY / Massena) rounded out the Dolphins’ attack with
a two-day score of 156 to place in a tie for 18th.
The victory on Monday marks the final event of the fall as the
Dolphins recorded two team victories and the College’s first
NE-10 Championship.
