GOLF: LE MOYNE PLACES SIXTH AT LOU FLUMERE
INVITATIONAL
Stow, Mass. - Le Moyne College junior Brian Tischler
(Westlake, Ohio/St. Ignatius) finished in a tie for
11th place and shot a 78 in leading the Dolphins men's
golf team to a tie for sixth place at the Lou Flumere Invitational
hosted by Bentley University on Wednesday afternoon. Le Moyne
finished with a team score of 326 as Salem State won the match with
a score of 302.
In addition to Tischler, Le Moyne placed three more golfers in the
top 50 for the one-day event. Senior Will Schwartz (Avon
Lake, Ohio/St. Ignatius) finished tied for
31st-place with a score of 82. Junior Tim
Martins (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) and
freshman Chris Sova (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) both
finished just one shot behind Schwartz and tied for 37th
with a score of 83. Le Moyne's only other competitor, sophomore
Andy Lloyd (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego), finished
64th with a score of 87.
The Dolphins will be in action next when they host the Mike Bello
Spring Invitational at the Links at Sunset Ridge in Marcellus, N.Y.
on Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12, both at 1:30 PM.
