GOLF: JACKSON AND SCHWARTZ TIE FOR FIRST IN LE MOYNE
VICTORY
Voorheesville, N.Y. - Freshman Kevin Jackson (Chittenango,
N.Y./Chittenango) and senior Will Schwartz (Avon
Lake, Ohio/St. Ignatius) finished in a three-way tie for
first place in a one-day event against Saint Rose to help the Le
Moyne College men's golf team to a win on Wednesday afternoon by a
score of 299 to 309. Jackson and Schwartz, along with Saint Rose
golfer Jamie Bacon, shot a 74, which was two shots over par.
Junior Brian Tischler (Westlake, Ohio/St.
Ignatius) finished only one shot back of the leaders for a
fourth-place tie and a score of 75. Freshman Anthony
Viskovich (Massena, N.Y./Massena) finished just two shots
back of first (76) and placed in sixth. Le Moyne's fifth
competitor, senior Tim Martins (Cortland,
N.Y./Cortland) finished with a score of 82 and in ninth
place.
Le Moyne will participate next in the Yellow Jacket Golf Classic
in Springfield, Massachusetts hosted by American International on
Monday, April 20th and Tuesday, April 21st.
Both days will start at 8:30 AM.
