GOLF: JACKSON AND SCHWARTZ TIE FOR FIRST IN LE MOYNE VICTORY

Voorheesville, N.Y. - Freshman Kevin Jackson (Chittenango, N.Y./Chittenango) and senior Will Schwartz (Avon Lake, Ohio/St. Ignatius) finished in a three-way tie for first place in a one-day event against Saint Rose to help the Le Moyne College men's golf team to a win on Wednesday afternoon by a score of 299 to 309. Jackson and Schwartz, along with Saint Rose golfer Jamie Bacon, shot a 74, which was two shots over par.

Junior Brian Tischler (Westlake, Ohio/St. Ignatius) finished only one shot back of the leaders for a fourth-place tie and a score of 75. Freshman Anthony Viskovich (Massena, N.Y./Massena) finished just two shots back of first (76) and placed in sixth. Le Moyne's fifth competitor, senior Tim Martins (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) finished with a score of 82 and in ninth place.

Le Moyne will participate next in the Yellow Jacket Golf Classic in Springfield, Massachusetts hosted by American International on Monday, April 20^th and Tuesday, April 21^st. Both days will start at 8:30 AM.
