GOLF: DOLPHINS TIE FOR SEVENTH PLACE AT COLGATE
INVITATIONAL
Hamilton, N.Y. - The Le Moyne College men's golf team tied for
seventh place at the 2009 Colgate Invitational with a score of 631
at Seven Oaks Golf Course. Colgate's Maroon team came in first
place with a team total of 600. Le Moyne's top finisher, senior
Tim Martins (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland), tied for
8th place and shot a 149 in the two-day event.
Martins opened the tournament with a 76 on Saturday and followed
with a 73 on the final day. Sophomore Chris Sova (Oswego,
N.Y./Oswego) shot rounds of 76 and 82 to finish with a
two-day score of 158, to place in a tie for 27th.
Kevin Jackson (Chittenango, N.Y./ Chittenano)
compiled a score of 161, which put him at a tie for 32nd
place. Anthony Viskovich (Massena,
N.Y./Massena) had a two round total of 163 tying for
37th place, while Andrew Lloyd (Oswego, N.Y./
Oswego) tallied a score of 164, placing him in a tie for
40th place.
The Dolphins will compete again on September 20th and
21st at the Northeast Intercollegiate Championship in
Bloomfield, Conn. at the Wintonbury Hills Country Club.
