GOLF: LE MOYNE FINISHES FOURTH AT INAUGURAL NORTHEAST INTERCOLLEGIATE CHAMPIONSHIP

Bloomfield, Conn. - Sophomore Anthony Viskovich (Massena, N.Y./Massena) fired a 151 to lead the Le Moyne College men's golf team to a fourth place finish with a two-day score of 613 at the inaugural Northeast Intercollegiate Championship on Sunday and Monday at the 6,711-yard, par-70 Wintonbury Hills Golf Course. American International won the team competition with a two-round score of 591, led by Gregory Strattner and Kevin Daniels finishing for a tie at the top with a two-round total at 144.

Viskovich opened the championship with a 77 on Sunday and carded a 74 in the second round on Monday to finish in a tie for ninth place. Senior Tim Martins (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) recorded a 153 on rounds of 78 and 75 to place in a tie for 16th, while sophomore Chris Sova (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) registered rounds of 78 and 76 for a 154 and a tie for 19th place. Junior Andrew Lloyd (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) and sophomore Kevin Jackson (Chittenango, N.Y./Chittenango) rounded out Le Moyne's efforts with scores of 155 (80-75) and 165 (85-80) to place in a tie for 23rd and a tie for 56th, respectively.

Le Moyne will compete next at the Dowling September Shootout at the Long Island National Golf Course in Riverhead, N.Y. on Sunday, September 27 and Monday, September 28.
