LE MOYNE COLLEGE ATHLETICS AND CITADEL BROADCASTING (ESPN
RADIO 1260) TEAM UP TO AIR DOLPHINS BASKETBALL IN
2007-08
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Le Moyne College Basketball has a new radio
home for the 2007-08. Director of Athletics Matt Bassett, announced
on Friday that Citadel Broadcasting’s ESPN Radio 1260 (WNSS)
will serve as the official radio home of Le Moyne College
basketball for the upcoming season.
"In our continued effort to enhance the Le Moyne Dolphin athletics
brand we are delighted with the partnership opportunities afforded
to us by ESPN Radio 1260,” said Director of Athletics Matt
Bassett. “Our ability to reach out to our local community and
national alumni base through various radio programming initiatives
including streaming audio, provides us with a tremendous and
consistent platform for staying connected to our friends, families
and alumni of Le Moyne College.”
"We are thrilled that ESPN Radio 1260 (WNSS) has been chosen as the
new flagship station for Le Moyne Basketball,” stated David
Calabrese, General Manager of Citadel Broadcasting. “We look
forward to a long partnership together as we at WNSS endeavor to
foster more local relationships with our community schools and
sports franchises.”
In 2007-08, Le Moyne College graduates Chris Granozio ’86 and
Don Familo ’86 enter their 16th season as the Voice of the
Dolphins.
The Dolphins open their season on Wednesday, November 7th as they
take on Syracuse in an exhibition game at the Carrier Dome at 7:00
PM. Following their second exhibition on November 10th at
Loyola-Chicago, the Dolphins open their regular season as they
travel Mansfield on Thursday, November 15th for a 7:30 PM contest.
