The Dolphins were able to take a three-point lead on a number of occasions, but following the half's 13th tie, Felician registered an 8-2 run to take a six-point lead at 42-36 with 1:09 remaining in the stanza. Sophomore forward Kevin Roth (Lake View, N.Y./St. Francis) hit a free throw and Johnson drilled three consecutive free throws after being fouled on a three-point attempt to pull the Dolphins with 42-40 at the intermission. Corbin, who finished the game one point shy of his career high, led all scorers in the opening half with 13 points. Devon Young tallied 12 points for the host Golden Falcons.

Ekperigin, who grabbed his 600th career rebound at the 3:30 mark of the second half, pulled down 12 rebounds in the game to register his fifth consecutive double-double and fourth straight 20-point, 10-rebound performance. Ekperigin was 11-of-11 from the field to push his career point total to 996. Corbin hit 10-of-12 shots and dished out six assists in the game.
