MLAX: DOLPHINS REMAIN RANKED #1 IN LATEST
POLL
Syracuse, N.Y. – For the third consecutive week, the Le
Moyne College men’s lacrosse team was ranked #1 as voted by
the USILA. The Dolphins had a 2-0 week with wins over American
International, 16-2, and Saint Michael’s, 7-3.
In the game against American International, the Dolphins were led
by sophomore attackman Jack Harmatuk (Syracuse,
N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy/Syracuse) and senior
attackman Tim Spillett (Camillus, N.Y./West
Genesee/Albany). Harmatuk tallied three goals and two
assists and Spillett added another two goals and two assists.
In the final home game of the regular season against Saint
Michael’s, sophomore midfielder Matt Chadderdon
(Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) led the charge with two goals on the
day. Senior midfielder Brian Welch (Ithaca,
N.Y./Ithaca) and Harmatuk each tacked on one goal and one
assist for the Dolphins. With the win over Saint Michael’s
the Dolphins clinched at least a share of the Northeast-10
Conference regular season championship for the ninth time in the
last 10 seasons.
The Dolphins will conclude their regular season when they travel
to Southern Newhampshire for a conference match-up on Saturday,
April 25th at 1:00 PM.
