LE MOYNE BATTLES #10 FRANKLIN PIERCE TO A 1-1 TIE
RINDGE, N.H. - The Le Moye College men's soccer team earned a 1-1 tied against #10 ranked Franklin Pierce on Tuesday. The decision pushes the Dolphins record to 9-1-2 on the season. Franklin Pierce moves to 8-1-2. With the tie, Le Moyne remains in first place in the Northeast 10 Conference standings.
The Ravens jumped on the board first when Henning Come netted his tenth goal of the season in the 44th minute of the match. Franklin Pierce took a 1-0 lead into halftime while not allowing a shot by the Le Moyne attack. Franklin Pierce continued to bottle up the Dolphin offense until Matt Pecheone netted his fourth goal of the season from Brice Rudat in the 88th minute. This was Le Moyne's first official registered shot of the game.
After two overtime periods, Le Moyne and Franklin Pierce dueled to a 1-1 tie. Steve White recorded three saves in goal for the Dolphins.
Le Moyne will return to action on Saturday, October 6th as they travel to take on UMass-Lowell at 3:00 PM
