LE MOYNE WRAPS UP REGULAR SEASON WITH 2-1 VICTORY OVER NYACK; DOLPHINS IMPROVE TO 14-2-2
NYACK, NY - The Le Moyne College men's soccer team wrapped up their regular season with a 2-1 victory over Nyack on Wednesday. Winners of five in a row, the Dolphins improve to 14-2-2 on the season. The 14 victories rank third in program history for most wins in a season.
The Dolphins struck first as Steve Blackwell scored his seventh goal of the season on an assist from Michael Desiderio. Le Moyne would take a 1-0 advantage into the intermission. Nyack (6-10-3) would rally eight minutes into the second half as Baba Fatoba would connect from Bobby Caskaran on the Warriors first goal to tie the game at 1-1. In the 61st minute, Shane Nardiello would score his first career goal as a Dolphin from Brandon Morse to give the Dolphins a 2-1 advantage. The lead would hold up as Steve White recorded two saves in goal.
Le Moyne will begin preparations for the NE-10 Conference Tournament that is set to begin on Sunday, October 28th. The Dolphins look to host the first round match by placing among the top four in the regular season standings. Official pairing will be released by the NE-10 Conference on Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.
