MSOC: STEVE WHITE NAMED NORTHEAST-10 GOALKEEPER OF THE
WEEK
South Easton, Mass. - Le Moyne College senior goalkeeper
Steve White (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) was named
the Northeast-10 Conference men's soccer goalkeeper of the week, as
announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
White, honored by the conference for the fifth time in his career,
registered eight saves and a 0.41 goals against average in Le
Moyne's 1-0-1 week. White recorded six saves in the Dolphins' 0-0
draw with Dominican on Wednesday and turned aside a pair of shots
in Le Moyne's 2-1 come-from-behind overtime victory over #15
Dowling on Saturday. The shutout of Dominican on Wednesday gave
White 18 for his career, the second-highest total on Le Moyne's
career charts. With the victory on Saturday over Dowling, White
moved into a tie for first place on the program's career charts
with his 36th.
Le Moyne (2-0-1), which is unbeaten at home over its last 11 games,
returns to action on Thursday, Sept. 10 for a non-conference
match-up against Wilmington at 4:00 p.m.
