MEN'S SWIMMING PLACES 8TH AT 2008 UNYSCSA SWIMMING AND DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS.
SYRACUSE, NY - The Le Moyne College Men's swimming and diving team earned an 8th place finish at the UNYSCSA Championships Feb. 27 thru Mar. 1st at Nottingham high school. Alfred University topped the 15 team competition collecting 1,197.50. Le Moyne collected 636 points.
Thursday: The men placed second in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay. Freshman Jerry Dumary, Sean Hosford, Ricky Chidsey, and senior Ryan Lowrie earned 55 points with a combined time of 1:25.69. Dumary and Chidsey captured 4th and 5th place in the 200 Yard IM. Dumary set a time of 1:58 collecting 26 points, while Chidsey's 5th place finish earned his team 25 points. Lowrie's 22.25 mark placed 4th in the 50 yard freestyle. The Dolphins placed 2nd in the 400 Yard Medley Relay collecting 56 points.
Friday:The Dolphins opened with a first place finish in the 200 Yard Medley Relay. Chidsey, Dumary, Lowrie, and Hosford finished with a time of 3:28.16. Lowry and Chidsey also finished one and two in the 100 Yard Butterfly. Lowry finished with a time of 51.06 and Chidsey with a time of 51.34. Dumary finished 4th in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:00.08.
Saturday:The Dolphins ended strong on their last day of competition finishing with three first place finishes. Chidsey opened with a fist place finish in the 200 yard Backstroke with a time of 150.50. Dumary's 2:09.15 finish in the 200 Yard Breaststroke put him ahead of his competitors. The Dolphins also captured a first place victory in the 400 Yard Freestyle. Lowrie, Dumary, Hosford, and Chidsey finished the 400 Yard Freestyle with a time of 3:08.57 earning 64 points.
The Dolphins qualified as a team in the Men's 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:33.35. The Dolphins also qualified individually in five other events.

Lowrie, Dumary, Chidsey, and the Le Moyne 200 Medley Relay team will compete Mar. 12 thru Mar. 15 at the NCAA Regional Division II Championships.
