DUMARY AND CHRISTINE EARN NORTHEAST-10 MEN'S SWIMMING WEEKLY AWARDS
South Easton, Mass. - Le Moyne College sophomore Jerry Dumary (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) and freshman Mike Christine (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) have received Northeast-10 Conference men's swimming and diving weekly honors, as announced by the conference office on Monday, Nov. 3.
Dumary, named the men's swimming athlete of the week for the
second time in three weeks, was honored after his four-win
performance at Bentley on Sunday, Nov. 2. Dumary registered three
individual wins and teamed for a relay victory in the 161.5-131.5
win against the Falcons. He opened his afternoon with a victory in
the 100-yard breaststroke in a season-best time of 1:01.48. He
later recorded wins in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:16.29 and the
200-yard IM in a season-best time of 2:04.26. Dumary also swam the
second leg of the winning 200-yard medley relay team that finished
in 1:39.40.
Christine, named the men's freshman of the week for the second
time in three weeks, registered two individual wins and teamed on
two relay victories in the dual meet at Bentley. Christine earned
individual wins by recording times of 22.72 seconds in the 50-yard
freestyle and 54.54 seconds in the 100-yard butterfly. Christine
swam the third leg of the winning 200-yard medley relay team
(1:39.40) and the second leg for the victorious 200-yard freestyle
relay squad (1:29.97).
Le Moyne returns to action on Saturday, November 8 at Hartwick at 1:00 p.m.
