SWIM: LE MOYNE MEN SWEEP NORTHEAST-10 WEEKLY HONORS
South Easton, Mass. - Le Moyne College seniors Ricky
Chidsey (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) and Zach
Hisert (Amsterdam, N.Y./Amsterdam) and freshman
Mike Christine (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa)
have received Northeast-10 Conference men's swimming and diving
weekly honors, as announced by the conference office on Monday,
Nov. 17.
Chidsey, honored by the conference as the men's swimming athlete
of the week for the first time this season, won two individual
events and was a member of two winning relays to lead Le Moyne to a
163-107 win at Nazareth on Saturday. Chidsey won the 100-yard
backstroke in 59.26 seconds and the 200-yard backstroke in a
pool-record time of 2:10.26. Chidsey also combined for wins as part
of the 200-yard medley relay team (1:51.46) and the 200-yard
freestyle relay team (1:41.63).
Hisert, honored as the men's diving athlete of the week for the
second consecutive week and third time overall this season, tallied
204.05 points to win the one-meter diving event in the 163-107 win
at Nazareth on Saturday.
Christine, recognized as the men's swimming freshman of the week
for the third time, won an individual event and was a member of two
winning relays to lead the Dolphins in the win at Nazareth.
Christine won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:00.61 and combined for
wins as part of the 200-yard medley relay team (1:51.46) and the
200-yard freestyle relay team (1:41.63).
Le Moyne (4-1) returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 22 against
Northeast-10 Conference-foe The College of Saint Rose at 1:00 p.m.
