‘PHINS SWIM PAST SAINT ROSE IN NE-10 DUAL
MEET
SYRACUSE, NY – The Le Moyne College men’s and
women’s swimming and diving teams defeated Saint Rose on
Saturday in an NE-10 dual meet. The men topped the Golden Knights
145-116 while the women were victorious 169-129. The men and women
improve to 5-1 in dual meets this season, 2-0 in conference.
On the men’s side, the Dolphins were led by senior
Ricky Chidsey (Liverpool, NY / Liverpool) and
sophomore Jerry Dumary (Ballston Spa, NY / Ballston
Spa). Chidsey placed first in the 100 backstroke and 100
freestyle and Dumary touched first in the 100 and 200 breaststroke.
The dual also teamed up with Mike Christine (Clifton Park,
NY / Shenendehawa) and Sean Hosford (Garden City,
NY / Garden City) to win the 200 medley relay.
On the women's side, freshman Katie O'Donnell (Delmar, NY
/ Bethlehem) registered three individual victories, while
setting pool records in each, and senior Meghan Nugent
(Binghamton, NY / Chenango Valley) and junior
Nicole Murphy (Camillus, NY / West Genesee) each
collected two individual wins to lead the Dolphins to victory. On
the afternoon, five pool records were rewritten.
The Dolphins will now prepare for the Northeast-10 Conference
Championships on December 5th held on the Southern Connecticut
State University campus in New Haven, Conn.
