SCOTT THIEKE NAMED NORTHEAST-10 MEN'S SWIMMING ATHLETE AND FRESHMAN
OF THE WEEK
SOUTH EASTON, Mass. - Le Moyne College
freshman Scott Thieke (Jamesville,
N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) received Northeast-10 Conference
Men's swimming Athlete and Freshman of the Week honors, as
announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. Thieke led
the way for the Dolphins on Saturday as they captured a
season-opening 171-42 win at Utica.
Thieke won two individual events for the Dolphins and teamed on two
relay victories. His two individual first-place finishes came
in the 200-yard freestyle (1:52.53) and the 500-yard freestyle
(5:14.82), while he teamed for first-place finishes in the 200-yard
medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay.
The men's swimming team's next meet will be on the road Friday,
Oct. 23 vs. Ithaca.
