Le Moyne College senior Ricky Chidsey (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) has been named the 2008-09 Northeast-10 Conference Mens Swimming Athlete of the Year, as voted upon by the conferences head coaches and announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. South Easton, Mass. The Le Moyne College women's swimming and diving team was named co-recipient of the Northeast 10 Conference Sportsmanship award for its first time ever. The award program recognizes one team from each of the league's championship sports that best exemplified the spirit of sportsmanship and generally conducted themselves with a high degree of integrity, character and class, is in its third year.

Houston, Tex. Le Moyne College senior Ricky Chidsey (Liverpool, NY / Liverpool) earned First Team All-America status with an eighth-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke on Saturday night at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Freshman Katie ODonnell (Delmar, N.Y./Bethlehem) earned Honorable Mention All-America honors with an 11th-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke.
