WTEN: DOLPHINS CAPTURE 7-2 VICTORY OVER PACE
Syracuse, NY – The Le Moyne women’s
tennis team captured their first victory of the season with a 7-2
decision over Pace. The victory marked the first win for first-year
head coach Rosemary Dehoog. Le Moyne improves to 1-3 on the season
and evened its NE-10 record at 1-1.
In singles, Caroline Tisdell (Syracuse, NY / CBA)
and Molly Slifer (Henrietta, NY / Bishop Kearney)
earned singles victories for the Dolphins. Tisdell earned a
straight set decision (7-6, 6-1) while Slifer had an easier time
with a 6-2, 6-1 victory.
On the doubles side, Le Moyne captured two victories as
Tirzah Walrath (Cortland, NY / Cortland) teamed up
with Allison Cohen (Fayetteville, NY /
Jamesville-DeWitt) for an 8-4 victory. Tisdell earned her
second victory of the day as she teamed with Marielle
Artessa (Syracuse, NY / Henninger) for an 8-1 victory.
Le Moyne returns to action on Sunday, September 28th as they host
Bentley at 11:00 AM.
