MTEN: S. NEW HAMPSHIRE EDGES LE MOYNE 5-4 IN FINAL MATCH
OF THE FALL
SYRACUSE, NY – The Le Moyne men’s tennis team fell to
Southern New Hampshire 5-4 on Saturday at the Niland Athletic
Complex. The Dolphins wrap up their fall schedule with a record of
2-5, 1-4 in the NE-10 Conference.
Le Moyne captured three points in singles as James Shelp
(Pittsford, NY / Pittsford Sutherland), Andrew Gleason (Gorham,
Maine / Cheverus) and Joseph Persia (Spencerport,
NY / Spencerport) earned victories against the Penmen.
In doubles, seniors Chris Meeker (Wampsville, NY /
Oneida) and Ben Jordan (Cassville, NY / Mt.
Markham) earned an 8-5 victory.
The Dolphins return to the court in March ’09 as they
continue their NE-10 schedule against Stonehill.
