MTEN: RICE SELECTED AS CO-FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
South Easton, Mass. - Le Moyne College freshman Brian Rice
(Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) was named Northeast-10
Conference men's tennis Co-Freshman of the Week as announced by the
conference on Monday afternoon.
Rice, who is the fourth different Le Moyne men's tennis player to
be selected as freshman of the week, recorded two victories against
St. Anselm. Rice picked up one win at first singles by a score of
6-0, 6-1 and teamed up with Daniel Sullivan at first doubles to
secure another victory winning 8-2. Rice and Sullivan, winners of
two straight, are 5-5 (3-3 in conference) on the season at the
first doubles spot.
The Le Moyne College men's tennis team returns to action with three
games this week. The Dolphins will travel to RIT on Monday, March
23 and then go to Massachusetts to take on Holy Cross on Friday,
March 27 and Stonehill on Sunday, March 29.
