MTEN: DOLPHINS FALL TO R.I.T. 7-2 IN NON-CONFERENCE
ACTION
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Le Moyne College men's tennis team lost
their non-conference match-up against R.I.T. 7-2 on Monday
afternoon to drop the Dolphins to 4-7 (2-4 Northeast-10
Conference).
The Dolphins were led by freshmen Daniel Sullivan (Auburn,
N.Y./Auburn) and Joseph Persia (Spencerport,
N.Y./Spencerport) who picked up victories at second and
fifth singles, respectively. Sullivan's 6-1, 6-4 win over John
Traver was his third consecutive singles victory. Persia picked up
his third straight win with a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Mauricio
Pommier, to improve to 7-4 on the season.
Le Moyne will travel now to Massachusetts for the weekend to take
on Holy Cross on Friday, March 27th at 3:00 PM and
Stonehill on Sunday, March 29 at 1:30 PM.
