WTEN: WALRATH CLAIMS SINGLES & DOUBLES VICTORIES FOR LE MOYNE AGAINST ST. MICHAEL’S

SYRACUSE, NY – Senior Tirzah Walrath (Cortland, NY / Cortland) led the way for the Dolphins with victories in #1 singles and #1 doubles against St. Michael’s on Saturday in an NE-10 Conference match. Le Moyne fell to the Purple Knights to fall to 1-2, 1-1 in conference action. St. Michael’s captured their second conference victory in moving to 2-0 on the year.

Walrath toped Marybeth Ash of in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3 to claim her third singles victory of the season. In doubles action, Walrah teamed up with fellow senior Allison Cohen (Fayetteville, NY / Jamesville-DeWitt) for a 8-4 win over Ash and Marron Ranks of St. Michael’s

Le Moyne will return to action next weekend as they travel to Chestnut Hill College for the ITA Regionals. Matches will begin on Friday and continue through the weekend.
