MEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO #3 REGIONALLY-RANKED QUEENS, 9-0, ON SENIOR DAY
DeWitt, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's tennis closed out its season with a 9-0 loss to #3 regionally-ranked Queens College on Friday night at Gold's Gym. Prior to the match, the Dolphin Athletic Association honored graduate student Michael Green (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) and senior Robert Brooks (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton) for their contributions to the program.

The Knights opened the match by sweeping the three doubles matches. At the top spot, Younes Hidass and Christopher Baron edged junior Alessandro Nieves (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) and sophomore Shane Evans (Oswego, N.Y./Pulaski) in a back-and-forth match, 8-6. Nikolaj Wulff and Andre Pellegrino were victorious at second doubles, 8-1, over Green and junior Daryl Johnson (Minoa, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa), while Alexander Morris and Adam Pizow won a tight match at the third spot, 8-4, over freshmen Blaine Drake (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) and Tyler Shaban (Liverpool, N.Y./C.W. Baker).
In singles action, Hidass topped Evans by a score of 6-1 in the first set and 6-2 in the second set at the top spot, while Wulff took the first set against Nieves, 6-1, and the second set, 6-0, at the second spot. At third singles, Baron defeated Johnson by consecutive scores of 6-0, while Pellegrino won at fourth singles against Green by scores of 6-2 and 6-0. Morris registered a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Drake at fifth singles, while Pizow edged Brooks in the longest match of the night, 6-3, 6-0, at sixth singles.
