MCANDREW AND MICARONI HONORED BY NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE
South Easton, Mass. - Le Moyne cross country members Jake McAndrew (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) and Gina Micaroni (Blossvale, N.Y./Canastota) have been honored by the Northeast-10 Conference for their efforts this past week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
McAndrew, a junior, was named the men's cross country athlete of the week for his performance at Buffalo State's Daniel Walker Invitational on Saturday, Aug. 30. McAndrew covered the eight-kilometer course in 26:28 to finish in second place out of 98 competitors.
Micaroni, a freshman, was selected as the women's cross country freshman of the week for her efforts at the Daniel Walker Invitational. Micaroni completed the five-kilometer course in 20:23 to place fifth out of 95 runners in her first collegiate meet.
The Dolphins return to action on Saturday, Sept. 6 in Albany, N.Y. for Saint Rose's Golden Knights Joust.
