XC: GINA MICARONI & EMMA D’AMBRO PLACE 1-2; NICHOLAS CUTTER PLACES 2ND AT THE HEIGHTS

SYRACUSE, NY – Sophomore Gina Micaroni (Blossvale, NY / Canastota) and freshman Emma D’Ambro (Schaghticoke, NY / Hoosic Valley) placed first and second respectively as the Dolphins hosted The College of Saint Rose and Bryant & Stratton at home on Saturday. Micaroni paced the 5K course in 20:07 while D’Ambro followed :04 later at 20:11. Freshman Nicholas Cutter (Housatonic, MA / Monument Mountain) was Le Moyne’s top finisher on the men’s side with time of 29:08, good for second place.

While Micaroni and D’Ambro earned top finishes, St. Rose placed the next six runners to top the Dolphins in team scoring 25-33. For Le Moyne, Chelsea Gibson (Weedsport, NY / Weedsport) finished with a time of 22:23, Erin Hudson (Fulton, NY / Fulton), Kimberly Thompson (Lafayette, NY / Lafayette), and Ashley Myers (Schenectady, NY / Schalmont) all chipped in with times under 24:00.

St. Rose’s Macky Lloyd placed first overall with a time of 28:31 on the 8K course to pace the Golden Knights to a 21-38 victory over the Dolphins. Le Moyne’s Evan Oustrich (Mexico, NY / Mexico) and Patrick Micaroni (Blossvale, NY / Canastota) placed 6th and 7th respectively.

The Dolphins will now prepare for the NE-10 Conference Championships on Sunday, October 25th.
