New Orleans, La. Senior Kelsey Ryan (Warsaw, N.Y./Livonia) was named to the 2008 NCAA Division II USTFCCCA Womens All-Academic Team for cross country as announced by the association Wednesday. In addition to Ryan making the All-Academic team as an individual, the Le Moyne womens cross country team was selected to the 2008 NCAA Division II USTFCCCA Womens Cross Country All-Academic Team. The 12 runners combined for a 3.200 grade point average.

Five Le Moyne College student-athletes have earned Northeast-10 Conference All-Academic honors for the Fall 2008 athletic season, as announced by the conference office on Friday afternoon. Womens soccer team members Meg Turley (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse), Megan OShea (East Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) and Christina Harrison (Jamesville, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) and cross country athletes Kelsey Ryan (Warsaw, N.Y./Livonia) and Jake McAndrew (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) all earned academic honors for their respective sports.

Boston, Mass. Senior Kelsey Ryan (Warsaw, N.Y./Livonia) finished in ninth place to lead the Le Moyne College womens cross country team to a ninth-place team finish at the 2008 East Region Cross Country Championships on Sunday at Franklin Park. Senior Peter Gratien (East Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) finished 72nd to lead the mens squad to a 20th-place finish.

The Le Moyne College women placed 5th behind the efforts of Gina Micaroni (Blossvale, NY / Canastota) and Kelsey Ryan (Warsaw, NY / Livonia) who placed 7th and 10th respectively at the NE-10 Championships held on the St. Michaels campus. On the mens side, the Dolphins placed 13th overall.
