Le Moyne Athletics : Le Moyne sweeps Dowling with 5-3 victory on Monday

Oakdale, N.Y.- Le Moyne concluded a three game set with Dowling College on Monday with a 5-3 victory. The win improves the Dolphins record to 7-9 while the loss moves Dowling to 7-12 on the season. Junior pitcher Caylinn Christophersen (Norwich, N.Y. / Norwich) started in the circle for Le Moyne. After giving up three early run, Christopheren settled down to deliver three scoreless innings and pick up her second win of the season. Jennifer Farrelly (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) came on in the fifth inning to pick up the save.

The Dolphins were led on offense by Emma Murphy (East Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse Minoa) and Farrelly who both registered two hit and two RBI. Le Moyne looks to improve their winnings streak to four as they host Southern New Hampshire on Saturday, March 31st in a doubleheader to open Northeast 10 Conference play. Le Moyne was selected as the preseason favorite to win the conference as chosen by the leagues head coaches.
