LE MOYNE FALLS TO SAGINAW VALLEY IN THEIR DOUBLE HEADER

Kissimmee, FL.- Le Moyne falls 6-3 in their first game of their
double header against Saginaw Valley. The Dolphins fail redeem
themselves in their second game against Saginaw Valley losing
4-0.
In the first game of the day Le Moyne took on Saginaw Valley. The
first inning started out slow with both sides retiring with no runs
on the board. The Dolphins began to show some life in the second
inning with Danielle Van Gorder’s double to bring in an
unearned run giving the Dolphins an early the lead. Saginaw Valley
countered the Dolphins by scoring a run to tie the game 1-1. The
Dolphins bats started swinging with two on base. Sarah Reed’s
single to center field brought in two RBI’s making the score
3-1. This wasn’t enough as Le Moyne’s offenses stalled.
Signaw Valley would comeback to score four runs and take a lead
that the Dolphins would never recover form. Saginaw Valley would
score once more in the fourth bringing the Final score to 6-3.
The Dolphins defense faltered as they committed eight errors
throughout the course of the game.
In the second game Signaw Valley would take an early lead scoring
two runs in the first inning. Le Moyne would try to make it up but
Saginaw’s pitching would silence the dolphins. The Saginaw
Cardinals would score two more in the seventh making the final
score 4-0.
Le Moynes contest versus Concordia halted by rain:
Through three and a half innings of play Le Moyne managed to bring
in six runs. Sarah Reeds pitching would shut out Concordia’s
bats leaving them scoreless. The contest would end before minimum
innings were reached to qualify as a regulation game.
The Dolphins return to action tomorrow against Urbana at 3 p.m. and
Lake Superior St. at 5 p.m.
