SECOND-SEED LE MOYNE TRAVELS TO NCAA NORTHEAST REGIONAL;
DOLPHINS FACE NYIT WEDNESDAY.
SYRACUSE, NY – Following their victory in the Northeast-10
Conference championship on Sunday, the Le Moyne softball team heads
to the campus of C.W. Post for the 2008 NCAA Softball Northeast
Regional. The five-day event will begin on Wednesday and conclude
on Sunday. With a 44-9 overall record, Le Moyne earned the
second-seed and will face NYIT in their opening game on Wednesday
at 11:30 AM.
Via the automatic bid through the conference championship, Le Moyne
has earned a berth in the NCAA Regional for the seventh consecutive
season.

INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA Division II Softball
Committee has selected the 64 teams that will participate in the
2008 NCAA Division II Softball Regional Championships. Eight teams
will participate at each of eight regional sites in
double-elimination tournaments to determine the final eight
championship participants. Regional competition will be held May
7-11. Winners will advance to the finals May 14-17 in Houston,
Texas, as part of the NCAA Division II National Championships
Festival.
