South Easton, Mass. - Le Moyne College senior pitcher Jennifer Farrelly (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference and ECAC Player and Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Farrelly, a second team all-conference selection as a junior, picks up the second player of the week and first pitcher of the week honors of her career. At the plate, Farrelly hit .733 (11-for-15) with three home runs, 11 RBI and five runs scored in leading the Dolphins to a 5-1 week. In five appearances in the pitching circle, including three starts, Farrelly went 4-1 with a 0.94 ERA and 20 strikeouts over 29.2 innings pitched. Farrelly, the team's leader in batting average (.368), home runs (4) and runs batted in (25), went 5-for-5 with three home runs and eight RBI, as well as picking up a victory, in Le Moyne's doubleheader sweep of Merrimack on Sunday. The senior righty earned a pair of victories against New Haven on Wednesday and shut out Assumption on Thursday by striking out six batters. Farrelly helped her own cause in game one against New Haven by delivering a two-run single to right field.

Le Moyne (19-7, NE-10 7-1), ranked 25th in the latest NFCA Division II poll, returns to action on Wednesday at The College of Saint Rose at 5:00 p.m. The doubleheader will be played at the RGSL Complex in Rotterdam, N.Y.
