STONEHILL TOPS LE MOYNE, 3-0, IN NE-10 ACTION
Easton, Mass. – Junior Elizabeth Cheek (Huntington
Beach, Calif./Rosary) and senior Caitlin
Richardson (Victor, N.Y./Victor) combined for 21 kills,
but the Le Moyne College volleyball team dropped a three-set match
to Stonehill in Northeast-10 Conference action at Merkert
Gymnasium. The Skyhawks dropped the Dolphins in straight sets:
25-22, 25-29, 25-17.
Cheek recorded 11 kills and Richardson contributed 10 of her own.
Junior Kaylin Brainerd (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool)
handed out 28 assists, accumulated 11 digs and added an ace for Le
Moyne. Sophomore Amanda Kershner (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C. W.
Baker) finished with five kills and a block.
The Dolphins (5-6, NE-10 0-2) will seek their first Northeast-10
Conference win when they visit Assumption on Sunday at 1 p.m.
