LE MOYNE TOPS ROBERTS WESLEYAN IN NON-CONFERENCE ACTION
Rochester, N.Y. - Junior Elizabeth Cheek (Huntington Beach, Calif./Rosary) registered 11 kills and eight digs to lead the Le Moyne College volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Roberts Wesleyan in non-conference action on Tuesday night.
The Dolphins opened the match by taking the first set by a score of 25-23. In the second set, Le Moyne topped the Raiders 29-27. The Dolphins closed out the match with a 25-17 victory in the third set.
Junior setter Kaylin Brainerd (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) registered a three-game, season-high 33 assists, while also recording five kills and a service ace. Junior libero Lindsey Gleason (Hamburg, N.Y./Frontier) posted a team-high 13 digs and had two assists. Senior Caitlin Richardson (Victor, N.Y./Victor) and sophomore Krista Prentice (Amherst, N.Y./Sweet Home) each recorded eight kills in the match, while senior Jodi Smith (Angola, N.Y./Eden) registered six kills, six digs and three service aces.
