LE MOYNE FRESHMAN KATHLEEN GLADSTONE NAMED TO NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL ALL-ROOKIE TEAM

SOUTH EASTON, MASS. Le Moyne College freshman point guard Kathleen Gladstone (Cleveland, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) has been named to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Rookie team. Gladstone scored 7.9 points and dished out 4.7 assists (fourth in the NE-10) this season.

Gladstone started 27 games for the Dolphins in her rookie season. She handed out double-digit assists twice, including a program-record equaling 12 in a win over Saint Rose on Dec. 10. She scored in double figures 10 times, including a season-high 20 points in a win over Saint Michael’s on Feb. 4.

With 126 assists, Gladstone totaled the third-most assists in program history. The 5-foot-5 point guard also grabbed 4.1 rebounds, third best on the team.

Gladstone is the second Le Moyne College freshman to earn a spot on the team which has been awarded by the Northeast-10 since to the 2001-02 season. Current sophomore Kim Wagoner (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) was named to the all-rookie team last season.

Le Moyne (11-17) saw its season come to an end in a 67-58 loss at Saint Rose in the Northeast-10 Conference First Round. Four of the Dolphins five starters are scheduled to return next season.
