LE MOYNE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HOSTS C.W. POST TONIGHT AT 6 P.M.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Le Moyne and C.W. Post square off in a non-conference women's basketball game on Thursday at 6 p.m. The Dolphins (5-6) are coming off a 60-55 win over Mercyhurst on Dec. 19. Live stats and live video will be available through this site, click more for details.
Le Moyne won the only previous meeting between the two programs 57-51 last season. Kim Wagoner scored 17 points for Le Moyne, while Erica Bell netted a game-high 18 points for C.W. Post (5-6).
With 849 career points, Kim Wagoner has climbed to 18th on the all-time scoring list. She ranks first in FT% (77.4) and second in 3FG% (33.1). She leads Le Moyne with 13.6 points per game this season. Sophomore Katie Dunn (Whippany, N.J./Morris Catholic) is also averaging in double-figures with 11.5 points per game.
After opening the season with three consecutive losses, C.W. Post has won five of its last eight contests. The Pioneers are 4-1 in the ECC, the league formerly known as the NYCAC.
The Dolphins and Pioneers have played six common opponents this season. Ironically, the teams with identical 5-6 marks have 1-5 records against those teams with the same results. C.W. Post and Le Moyne have dropped games against Saint Rose, Franklin Pierce, Saint Michael's, Southern Connecticut and Pace. Each achieved victories over Southern N.H.
Le Moyne will travel to Worcester, Mass. for a key league matchup against Assumption. The Dolphins enter 2007 12th in the 15-team league. The top 12 teams qualify for the NE-10 postseason. Assumption blitzed Pace 60-48 on Wednesday night to pick up its fourth league win of the season.
