PACE REBOUNDS FROM DOUBLE-DIGIT DEFICIT TO HOLD OFF LE MOYNE 58-53

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - Senior Ashley Wallace (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) scored 20 points, including her career 1,000th, to help Pace hold off Le Moyne 58-53 in a Northeast-10 Conference women's basketball game at the Goldstein Athletic Center. The Dolphins (8-15, 4-14 Northeast-10) opened up a 13-point lead early in the second half, but Pace (17-6, 12-6 Northeast-10) rallied for its 17th win of the season.

Junior Kim Wagoner (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) scored 16 points and sophomore Katie Dunn (Whippany, N.J./Morris Catholic) tallied 15 to lead Le Moyne in the scoring column. Dunn also led the Dolphins with nine rebounds. Le Moyne hit 23-of-56 shots from the field, including six-of-17 from 3-point range, but was awarded just three free throws on the evening and made one.

Wallace made 8-of-14 shots from the field for the game and scored 13 of her 20 points after intermission for Pace. Stephanie Klingele added 12 points.

Le Moyne led throughout the opening half and took a 29-23 lead into the intermission. Dunn hit a 3-pointer on the first possession and Wagoner followed with a pair of jumpers as Le Moyne extended its lead to 36-23 with 18:24 remaining in the game.

The Dolphins carried a 10-point lead at 42-32 with 12:43 remaining, but Pace used a 13-2 run over the next five minutes and 37 seconds. Wallace delivered the hosts their first lead since scoring the first basket of the game. Dunn hit a 3-pointer with 1:48 remaining to give Le Moyne its final lead at 53-52, but Wallace answered at the other end for Pace and Liran Buchris scored the final four points to seal the victory.

Le Moyne returns home for its final home game of the season against UMass Lowell on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Dolphins will honor seniors Lindsay Carr (Bronx, N.Y./Preston) and Lindsay Ellis (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) in senior day ceremonies prior to the game. Time Warner Sports Channel 26 will air the game live throughout Central and Northern New York.
