DOLPHINS DROP 59-37 DECISION TO FRANKLIN
PIERCE
RINDGE, N.H. – The Le Moyne women’s basketball team
dropped to 3-3 on the season, 2-3 in the Northeast 10 Conference
with a 59-37 setback against Franklin Pierce on Tuesday. The Ravens
(6-1, 4-1) were led by Johannah Leedham’s 20 points and six
steals. Jeanne Dupree’s outfit was led by Katie Dunn and
Megan Murphy who came off the bench to lead the Dolphin attack.
A tight game midway through the first half, the Ravens would trade
baskets with Le Moyne and hold a 17-15 advantage with 6:31 before
intermission. Franklin Pierce would rally to end the first half
with a 14-4 run and took a 31-19 lead into the break.
The Ravens would capitalize on Dolphin turnovers to extend the lead
in the second half. Of Franklin Pierce’s 59 points, 31 would
come directly off Le Moyne miscues.
Le Moyne looks to rebound on Saturday, December 8th as the Dolphins
welcome St. Michael’s to Ted Grant Court for a 1:00 PM
tip-off.
